Analog Camera
Analog CCTV cameras record images to a digital recorder which converts the video to a digital format. To view the video, the DVR needs to be connected to a monitor or router to be broadcasted through an internal network for remote access. However, there are government regulations for the strength of analog signals. This product is used on streets, in apartments, hotels and several other places for surveillance purpose.
IP Camera
An Internet Protocol camera, commonly referred to as an IP camera, is a digital video camera much like a webcam, which transmits and receives data over a network or the Internet. Unlike an ordinary webcam, it is a standalone unit with its own IP address that requires nothing more than a network connection in order to transfer images. The IP camera connects to a network in exactly the same way as any other standard network device such as a laptop, printer etc.
IP cameras may be used with a wired network connected via ethernet cable to a broadband modem or router, or wirelessly via a WiFi router.
Digital Video Recorder
A Digital Video Recorder (DVR) is an electronic device that records video in a digital format to a disk drive, USB flash drive, SD memory card, SSD or other local or networked mass storage devices. Personal computers are often connected to video capture devices and used as DVRs; in such cases the application software used to record video is an integral part of the DVR.
Network Video Recorder
A Network Video Recorder (NVR) is a specialised computer system that includes a software program that records video in a digital format to a disk drive, USB flash drive, SD memory card or other mass storage devices. An NVR contains no dedicated video capture hardware. This product is widely used in various industries, offices, hospitals, schools, institutes, NGOs, home and private and government organizations.
